I'm afraid of the dark ... An eight-point
I finished a little while ago to see The Green Mile (it was very long and complicated, it took me three days, what with one thing and another, in order to see) and so I have not transported by emotion could not help but to come here and write.
Again I can not help but deny my ignorance from what I thought I had understood I thought it was a kind of thriller, nothing farther from the truth.
What about BEYOND THE considerations about the plot, what struck me most is the idea and its development (taken from the novel, of course) think about making a film about innocence, purity and evil that dwells in the heart men when movies like Saw at the box office by storm (though the film is actually older) seems quite against the grain. And I love the things against the grain.
John Coffey is obviously what impressed me the most, not so much because it's a big kid in the body of a giant, but as he paints it, for the disarming extreme goodness outside at any time.
I think the most beautiful scene of the film, although I hate to compare absolute, is that in which John Coffey explains nela cell to the "boss Paul" because he has decided he wants to die. Why is a scene that, unfortunately, now exists only in movies. Try it just to walk down the street and around osservatevi, but do it really. How many homeless people who ask the charity, how many people arguing, how bad you think? If not you noticed there is only one reason: we're in the middle for too long, and you've had a good armor because it can not come all that pain.
John Coffey is a person without armor, with a heart too big, and then as he says, how can it continue to live with that pain on him, always, every day?
When Paul finally really understand what evidence that giant can no longer be present at executions. How are you doing? Or rather, as he did now, that he took his armor? You can not. Certainly when
Coffey sits on the "old shiny" is a great moment, and there are some very beautiful in the whole movie, but I think that the most significant is that of Paul Coffey and into the cell, talking to two days of the execution.
In conclusion, if he had not understood, immediately went to see this film if, like me, not because you've already done really deserves (or maybe at it again, not never hurts) and do not trash the movie just because you do not like those stories with paranormal or strange magic, make an effort, because the point of the film is absolutely not quello.Guardatelo with eyes wide open
