The contrast of simultaneity is the phenomenon whereby the eye referred to the vision of a color requires its complement simultaneously. If we look insistently a red circle for a few seconds and then close our eyes, the brain produces the complementary color observed, which tends to restore the equilibrium conditions retinal.
